Eoperlites paradoxus
Taxonomy
Eoperlites paradoxus was named by Haupt (1956). Its type specimen is GPIUH G55/24, a forewing (basal fragment of forewing), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Geiseltal (GPIUH collection), which is in a Lutetian mire/swamp lignite/shale in Germany. It is the type species of Eoperlites.
