Taxonomy
Biwaella poletaevi was named by Davydov (2011). Its type specimen is SUI 114241, a test, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kalinovo section A-3/31a, which is in a Gzhelian open shallow subtidal limestone in Ukraine.
