Taxonomy
Chaeteessites minutissimus was named by Gratshev and Zherikhin (1993). Its type specimen is PIN 3311/603, a nymph (larva), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Taimyr amber, Yantardakh Hill (PIN collection 3311), which is in a Santonian terrestrial amber in the Kheta Formation of the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Chaeteessites.
