Leptoconops (Leptoconops) boreus
Taxonomy
Leptoconops boreus was named by Kalugina (1991). Its type specimen is PIN 3426/119, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Taimyr Amber, Nizhnyaya Agapa River (PIN collection 3426), which is in a Cenomanian fluvial amber in the Dolgan Formation of the Russian Federation.
It was recombined as Leptoconops (Leptoconops) boreus by Borkent and Wirth (1997), Borkent (2013), Szadziewski (2018), Borkent and Dominiak (2020).
