Taxonomy
Plethomytilus lineatus was named by Reed (1944). Its type specimen is GSI 17210, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is West of pt. 2382, K33.95-151, Salt Range, which is in a Wuchiapingian marine horizon in the Wargal Formation of Pakistan.
