Taxonomy
Meitania (Promeitania) subcylindrica was named by Yuan et al. (1997). It is not extant. Its type locality is Balang, 10-1, which is in a Taijangian slope mudstone in the Kaili Formation of China.
It was recombined as Parashuiyuella subcylindrica by Zhou and Zhen (2008).
