Metachorus testudo

Taxonomy
Promylacris testudo was named by Scudder (1890). Its type specimen is USNM 38158, an exoskeleton, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Mazon Creek (Columbia University collection), which is in a Westphalian D deltaic mudstone in the Carbondale Formation of Illinois.

It was recombined as Metachorus testudo by Handlirsch (1906), Handlirsch (1906), Handlirsch (1920), Handlirsch (1922); it was recombined as Sooblatta testudo by Scudder (1890), Schneider (1983).
