Taxonomy

Blattina anaglyptica was named by Germar (1842). Its type specimen is MH 18, a tegmen, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Wettin, which is in a Stephanian C terrestrial shale in the Ottweiler Stufe Formation of Germany.

It was recombined as Etoblattina anaglyptica by Scudder (1879); it was recombined as Phyloblatta anaglyptica by Handlirsch (1906), von Schlechtendal (1913), Handlirsch (1920), Handlirsch (1922); it was recombined as Compsoblatta anaglyptica by Schneider (1978), Schneider (1983).

Synonyms

Blattina carbonaria was named by Germar (1851). It is an impression. Its type locality is Wettin, which is in a Stephanian C terrestrial shale in the Ottweiler Stufe Formation of Germany.

It was recombined as Etoblattina carbonaria by Scudder (1879); it was recombined as Phyloblatta carbonaria by Handlirsch (1906), von Schlechtendal (1913), Handlirsch (1920), Handlirsch (1922), Simon (1971); it was synonymized subjectively with Compsoblatta anaglyptica by Schneider (1978).
Phyloblatta hochecornei was named by Schlechtendal (1906). It is an impression. Its type locality is Löbejün, which is in a Stephanian C terrestrial shale in the Ottweiler Stufe Formation of Germany.
