Taxonomy
Asemoblatta pennsylvanica was named by Handlirsch (1906). Its type specimen is USNM 38799, a tegmen, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Drake Tunnel, Old Forge, which is in a Westphalian D terrestrial /coal in the Llewellyn Formation of Pennsylvania.
