Timarchopsis gigas
Taxonomy
Necronectes gigas was named by Ponomarenko (1977). Its type specimen is PIN 2554/477, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Karatau-Mikhailovka (PIN collection 2554), which is in a Kimmeridgian lacustrine - large siltstone in the Karabastau Formation of Kazakhstan.
It was recombined as Timarchopsis gigas by Soriano et al. (2007), Wang et al. (2010).
