Homaloptila similis
Taxonomy
Homaloneura similis was named by Meunier (1911). Its type specimen is MNHN-DHT-R51192, a wing (pair of well preserved wings), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Commentry (MNHN later coll), which is in a Gzhelian lacustrine deltaic shale in the Commentry Shales Formation of France. It is the type species of Homaloptila.
It was recombined as Homaloptila similis by Handlirsch (1919), Handlirsch (1922), Carpenter (1961), Béthoux et al. (2004).
