Tartaraphis peregrina
Taxonomy
Tartaraphis peregrina was named by Zhang et al. (1989). Its type specimen is Shandong Provincial Museum L84125, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Tuanwang, Laiyang City (Shandong Prov. Museum coll.), which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large shale in the Laiyang Formation of China. It is the type species of Tartaraphis.
It was recombined as Penaphis peregrina by Hong (1998).
