Taxonomy
Didymia davisi was named by Smith (1992). Its type specimen is USNM Brodzinsky/Lopez-Penha 10500, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Dominican amber (USNM Brodzinsky Lopez-Pena coll), which is in a Burdigalian/Langhian terrestrial amber in the Dominican Republic.
