Neorhynchocephalus melanderi
Taxonomy
Hirmoneura melanderi was named by Cockerell (1908). Its type specimen is YPM 14172, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Florissant, Station 14, which is in a Chadronian lacustrine - large shale in the Florissant Formation of Colorado.
It was recombined as Neorhynchocephalus melanderi by Bequaert and Carpenter (1936), Melander (1949).
