Kilianocaris was named by van Straelen (1923) [Sepkoski's age data: J Call J Tith-l Sepkoski's reference number: 619]. It is not extant. Its type is Kilianocaris lericheri.
It was assigned to Conchyliocarida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Ostenocarididae by Schram (2014).
