Taxonomy

Sphaeropsocus kuenowii was named by Hagen (1882). It is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic Amber, Künow collection, which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in the Russian Federation.

It was corrected as Sphaeropsocus kuenowi by Enderlein (1911).

Synonyms

Atropos succinica was named by Hagen (1882). It is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic Amber, Künow collection, which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in the Russian Federation.

It was recombined as Palaeotroctes succinicus by Enderlein (1911); it was synonymized subjectively with Sphaeropsocus kuenowii by Engel and Perkovsky (2006).
