Taxonomy
Dichentomum arroyo was named by Rasnitsyn (2004). Its type specimen is NMMNH P-26917, a forewing (imperfectly preserved forewing), and it is an impression. Its type locality is NMMNH L-3433; Carrizo Arroyo, which is in an Asselian pond mudstone in the Bursum Formation of New Mexico.
