Lutetiacader petrefactus

Taxonomy
Lutetiacader petrefactus was named by Wappler (2006). Its type specimen is SMF MeI 11781, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Grube Messel grid square G8/9, 1.7-2.4 m above alpha marker, which is in a MP 11 crater lake claystone in the Messel Formation of Germany. It is the type species of Lutetiacader.
