Taxonomy
Meixianites guangdongensis was named by Xu (1977). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Baidu, Meizhou County, which is in a Roadian/Wordian offshore siliciclastic in the Kufeng Formation of China. It is the type species of Meixianites.
