Taxonomy
Ceratopogon sinuosus was named by Meunier (1904). It is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic amber, Konigsberg collection, which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in the Russian Federation.

It was recombined as Eohelea sinuosa by Szadziewski (1988), Szadziewski (1993), Evenhuis (1994), Borkent and Wirth (1997), Sontag and Szadziewski (2011), Perkovsky (2013), Borkent (2013), Szadziewski (2018) and Borkent and Dominiak (2020).
