Taxonomy
Sibirites elegans was named by Dagis and Ermakova (1988). Its type specimen is IGiG 766/81 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Mengilyakh Creek, grambergi zone, Olenek River, which is in a Spathian marine siliciclastic in the Russian Federation.
