Taxonomy
Globopsocus aquilonius was named by Azar and Engel (2008). Its type specimen is PIN 3426/209, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Taimyr Amber, Nizhnyaya Agapa River (PIN collection 3426), which is in a Cenomanian fluvial amber in the Dolgan Formation of the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Globopsocus.
