Tecticupes heckeri

Taxonomy

Tecticupes heckeri was named by Rohdendorf (1961). Its type specimen is PIN 676/365, an elytra, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Suriekova I, ditch 6 (PIN collection 676), which is in a Wordian terrestrial siliciclastic in the Kazankovo-Markinskaya Formation of the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Tecticupes.

Synonyms

Stegocupes efremovi was named by Rohdendorf (1961). Its type specimen is PIN 1197/393, an exoskeleton, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Kaltan (PIN collection 1197), which is in a Roadian terrestrial siliciclastic in the Mitina Formation of the Russian Federation.

It was considered a nomen dubium by Ponomarenko (1969); it was synonymized subjectively with Tecticupes heckeri by Kirejtshuk (2020).
Stegocupes fedotovi was named by Rohdendorf (1961). Its type specimen is PIN 676/370, an exoskeleton, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Suriekova I, ditch 6 (PIN collection 676), which is in a Wordian terrestrial siliciclastic in the Kazankovo-Markinskaya Formation of the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Stegocupes.

It was synonymized subjectively with Tecticupes heckeri by Ponomarenko (1969).
