Eohemichroa eophila
Taxonomy
Hemichroa eophila was named by Cockerell (1906). Its type specimen is AMNH Fl 18919, an exoskeleton (body with wings attached), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Florissant, Station 14, which is in a Chadronian lacustrine - large shale in the Florissant Formation of Colorado. It is the type species of Eohemichroa.
It was recombined as Eohemichroa eophila by Zhelochovtzev and Rasnitsyn (1972), Taeger et al. (2010).
