Metacanthus (Megalomerium) serratum

Taxonomy
Megalomerium serratum was named by Theobald (1937). Its type specimen is FSL 392027, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Aix-en-Provence (Inst. Geol. Lyon), which is in a Chattian lacustrine - large limestone in the Niveau du gypse d'Aix Formation of France.

It was recombined as Metacanthus (Megalomerium) serratum by Nel (1992).
