Taxonomy
Lema pulchella was named by Förster (1891). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Riedisheim, Mulhouse, which is in an Oligocene lacustrine - large marl in France.

It was recombined as Phyllobius pulchella by Theobald (1937).
