Taxonomy
Agallia was named by Curtis (1833). It is extant. It is the type genus of Agalliini.

It was assigned to Cicadellidae by Scudder (1890); and to Agalliini by Dietrich et al. (2017), Dmitriev (2020), Borodin and Borodina (2021).
