Juranthribus thompsoni
Taxonomy
Juranthribus thompsoni was named by Legalov (2011). Its type specimen is PIN 2239/1280, an exoskeleton (complete beetle), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Karatau-Mikhailovka (PIN collection 2239), which is in a Kimmeridgian lacustrine - large siltstone in the Karabastau Formation of Kazakhstan. It is the type species of Juranthribus.
