Palaeoxonodon ooliticus
Taxonomy
Palaeoxonodon ooliticus was named by Freeman (1976). Its type specimen is FM/K8, a tooth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kirtlington 3p (Mammal Bed), which is in a Bathonian mire/swamp marl in the Forest Marble Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Palaeoxonodon.
