Kotaphialtites frankmortoni
Taxonomy
Kotaphialtites frankmortoni was named by Rasnitsyn (2008). Its type specimen is MCZ 11909, an exoskeleton (badly preserved body & badly damaged wings), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Sirpur Taluka, Tasch's K1 outcrop bed 2(A), which is in a Toarcian terrestrial limestone in the Kota Formation of India. It is the type species of Kotaphialtites.
