Liassothrips crassipes

Taxonomy
Mesothrips crassipes was named by Martynov (1927). Its type specimen is PIN 2452/572, an exoskeleton, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Karatau-Galkino (PIN collection 2452), which is in a Callovian/Oxfordian lacustrine - large siltstone in the Karabastau Formation of Kazakhstan. It is the type species of Mesothrips, Liassothrips.

It was recombined as Liassothrips crassipes by Priesner (1949), Shmakov (2008), Mound and Hastenpflug-Vesmanis (2021).
