Taxonomy
Liassocorixa dorsetica was named by Popov et al. (1994). Its type specimen is BMNH In 59140, an exoskeleton (body head missing), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Flatstones, Stonebarrow, Charmouth (Jackson collection), which is in an Obtusum marine mudstone in the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Liassocorixa.
