Kolihapeltis was named by Prantl and Pribyl (1947) [Sepkoski's age data: D Sieg D Emsi-u Sepkoski's reference number: 421,1106]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Corynexochida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Styginidae by Jell and Adrain (2002).
