Karataviella chinensis was named by Lin (1976). It is an impression.
It was recombined as Yenliaocorixa chinensis by Hong (1984); it was misspelled as Yanliacorixa chinensis by Nel and Paicheler (1993); it was recombined as Yanliaocorixa chinensis by Hong (1983), Zhang (2010).
