Taxonomy
Huabeia liugouensis was named by Hong (1983). Its type specimen is Hc1016, a hindwing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Xiaofanzhangzi, sample 27h4, Chengde City, which is in a Callovian/Oxfordian lacustrine - large shale in the Jiulongshan Formation of China.
