Pseudoperonopsis was named by Harrington (1938) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm uMid-l]. It is not extant.

It was synonymized subjectively with Diplorrhina by Jell and Adrain (2002).

It was assigned to Peronopseinae by Harrington and Leanza (1957); to Spinagnostidae by Whittington et al. (1997); and to Agnostida by Sepkoski (2002).
