Taxonomy
Triassomantis pygmaeus was named by Tillyard (1922). Its type specimen is GSQI86, a forewing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Denmark Hill Insect Bed (Dunstan 1915-1916 collection), which is in a Norian pond siltstone in the Blackstone Formation of Australia.
