Taxonomy

Eogyropsylla was named by Klimaszewski (1993). Its type is Eogyropsylla eocenica.

It was assigned to Gyropsyllini by Klimaszewski (1997), Burckhardt and Ouvrard (2012); to Aphalarinae by Drohojowska (2011), Ashe-Jepson et al. (2019); and to Paleopsylloidini by Klimaszewski (1993), Burckhardt et al. (2021).

Synonyms

Parascenia was named by Klimaszewski (1997).

It was synonymized subjectively with Colposcenia by Burckhardt and Ouvrard (2012); it was synonymized subjectively with Eogyropsylla by Ashe-Jepson et al. (2019), Burckhardt et al. (2021).

It was assigned to Stigmaphalarini by Klimaszewski (1997); and to Paleopsylloidini by Ouvrard et al. (2013).
