Taxonomy
Corbula (Tenuicorbula) was named by Olsson (1932) [Sepkoski's age data: T Mi R]. It is extant. Its type is Corbula tenuis.

It was reranked as Tenuicorbula by Perrilliat (1992), Sepkoski (2002) and Anderson and Roopnarine (2003).

It was assigned to Caryocorbulinae by Perrilliat (1992); to Myoida by Sepkoski (2002); to Corbulidae by Anderson and Roopnarine (2003); and to Corbula by Olsson (1932), Kanno (1978) and Hendy et al. (2015).
