Taxonomy
Neoschizodus kitakamiensis was named by Nakazawa and Newell (1968). It is a mold. Its type locality is Teranosawa, Maiya, Towa-cho, Miyagi Prefecture, which is in a Wordian marine horizon in the Tenjinnoki Formation of Japan.
