Taxonomy
Triassolocusta leptoptera was named by Tillyard (1922). Its type specimen is GSQI99, a forewing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Denmark Hill Insect Bed (Dunstan 1915-1916 collection), which is in a Norian pond siltstone in the Blackstone Formation of Australia.
