Meganeurites gracilipes
Taxonomy
Meganeurites gracilipes was named by Handlirsch (1919). Its type specimen is MNHN.F.R53005, an exoskeleton, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Commentry (MNHN later coll), which is in a Gzhelian lacustrine deltaic shale in the Commentry Shales Formation of France.
It was synonymized subjectively with Meganeurula selysii by Carpenter (1943); it was synonymized subjectively with Meganeura selysii by Brauckmann and Zessin (1989).
