Cryptoclidus richardsoni

Taxonomy
Cimoliosaurus richardsoni was named by Lydekker (1889). Its type specimen is BMNH R. 6696, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Brick-field near Montevideo House, Chickerell, which is in a Callovian/Oxfordian marine horizon in the Oxford Clay Formation of the United Kingdom.

It was recombined as Cryptocleidus richardsoni by Delair (1960); it was recombined as Cryptoclidus richardsoni by Brown (1981).
