Uromitra antegressa was named by Bellardi (1887) [AUTHORITY DATE: Elsewhere stated to be 1900, but Harris (1897) declared Bellard's species to be type, and therefore most likely was named with the genus in 1887.]. It is a 3D body fossil. It is the type species of Uromitra.
