Taxonomy
Drillia ritanida was named by Mansfield (1925) [DISTRIBUTION: Miocene; Trinidad and Tobago.]. Its type specimen is USNM 115581, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Crassispira (Crassispirella) ritanida by Woodring (1970).
