Angistorhinus maximus
Taxonomy
Angistorhinus maximus was named by Mehl (1928). Its type specimen is UM VP 531, a partial skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Little Popo Agie River, which is in a Carnian terrestrial horizon in the Popo Agie Formation of Wyoming.
It was synonymized subjectively with Angistorhinus grandis by Lucas et al. (2002).
