Taxonomy

Ctenoplectrella was named by Cockerell (1909). Its type is Ctenoplectrella viridiceps. It is the type genus of Ctenoplectrellina, Ctenoplectrellina.

It was assigned to Ctenoplectrinae by Zeuner and Manning (1976); to Ctenoplectrellina by Engel (2001); to Ctenoplectrellini by Engel (2008); and to Ctenoplectrellina by Engel (2021).

Synonyms

Palaeomacropis was named by Michez et al. (2007).

It was synonymized subjectively with Ctenoplectrella by Engel (2021).
