Muniericeras was named as a genus. It is not extant. Its type is Muniericeras lapparenti.

It was reranked as Schloenbachia (Muniericeras) by Basse (1931).

It was assigned to Schloenbachia by Basse (1931); to Muniericeratidae by Wright (1952), Kennedy (1995), Wright et al. (1996); and to Ammonoidea by Sepkoski (2002).
