Lonchognathosaurus acutirostris
Taxonomy
Lonchognathosaurus acutirostris was named by Maisch et al. (2004). Its type specimen is SGP 2001/19, a partial skull (Anterior portion of skull), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Liuhonggou, 40 km south-west of Urumqi, which is in an Aptian/Albian lacustrine mudstone/siltstone in the Lianmuqin Formation of China.
It was synonymized subjectively with Dsungaripterus weii by Andres et al. (2010).
