Repossia was named by Rieber (1973) [Sepkoski's age data: Tr Anis-u Sepkoski's reference number: 302]. It is not extant. Its type is Repossia acutenodosa.
It was assigned to Ceratitida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Paraceratitinae by Tozer (1981), Fantini Sestini (1996), Vörös (2018).
